Ministerstwo Sportu nie chce sprzedawać praw do nazwy największego sportowego obiektu w Polsce – Stadionu Narodowego. Stadion prawdopodobie nie dostanie również patrona. Tak informuje Polskie Radio Euro.
“Do sprzedaży nazwy stadionu może dojść tylko, gdy obiekt nie będzie na siebie zarabiał” – mówi Raportowi 2012 Radia Euro, minister sportu Adam Giersz. “Chciałbym żebyśmy nie musieli sięgać do komercjalizacji nazwy stadionu narodowego, ale to zależeć będzie od stanu finansów sportu, bo też nie chcielibyśmy dokładać z budżetu sportu do utrzymania stadionu narodowego” – tłumaczy dalej minister. Jeśli doszłoby do sprzedaży naming rights, to nazwa najprawdopodobniej brzmiałaby “Stadion Narodowy X Arena”.
Według ekspertów, Ministerstwo Sportu mogłoby na tym zarobić od 10 do 70 milionów złotych. “Okres sprzedaży praw to jest od 5 do 7 lat i przy tego rodzaju obiekcie możnaby uzyskać od 50 do 70 milionów złotych.” - mówi dla Radia Euro Wojciech Majeran z Ciszewski Marketing Sportowy. “Większość stadionów narodowych na świecie nie ma sponsora tytularnego, z racji tego, że stadiony narodowe są dobrem narodowym i w tym aspekcie tak się powinno patrzeć na to miejsce – jak na świątynię narodową” – tłumaczy Majeran.
Ministerstwo prawdopodobnie nie będzie chciało też nadać stadionowi imienia patrona. Rozważane było nazwanie obiektu imieniem Ryszarda Siwca i Jana Pawła II. Minister chce, aby został zachowany sportowy, rozrywkowy i narodowy charakter obiektu. Miałby on się stać domem sportu mieszczącym na przykład muzeum. Stadion ma służyć wszystkim sportowcom. Na jego terenie miałyby odbywać się mecze rugby, a nawet finał mistrzostw świata siatkarzy w 2014 roku, co jest możliwe dzięki zamykanemu dachowi.
Obecnie trwają poszukiwania operatora stadionu, który ma się pojawić w czerwcu 2010. Do jego zadań będzie należało między innymi organizowanie koncertów, wynajem powierzchni handlowych czy sprzedaż lóż VIPowskich.
W 2012 roku Stadion Narodowy będzie areną otwarcia piłkarskich Mistrzostw Europy. Jego budowa ma się zakończyć w połowie 2011 roku.
