Gdańsk sprzeda prawa do nazwy stadionu, na którym mają być rozgrywane mecze piłkarskich mistrzostw Europy w 2012 roku – zapowiedział prezydent miasta Paweł Adamowicz podczas spotkania w Warszawie z biznesmenami i dziennikarzami.
Sprzedaż nazwy będzie tylko częścią projektu komercjalizacji obiektu. Do zagospodarowania na stadionie będzie ponad 17 tys. metrów kwadratowych powierzchni użytkowej. Mniej więcej połowę będą stanowić restauracje, fast foody, loże dla VIP-ów i sale konferencyjne, a być może nawet tor wrotkarski. Co znajdzie się na pozostałej powierzchni, zdecydują najemcy.
Stadion w Gdańsku - projekt
Nikt w Polsce nie komercjalizował stadionu na taką skalę. Zainteresowanie jest już spore – powiedział prezydent Gdańska.
Nie jest wykluczone, że pod powierzchnią Baltic Areny (tymczasowa nazwa) powstanie kasyno lub kluby fitness. Chcemy, by nasz stadion żył siedem dni w tygodniu – podkreślił Adam Kalata z Biura Inwestycji Euro Gdańsk 2012.
Odpowiadając na pytanie o cenę za nazwę stadionu, prezydent Paweł Adamowicz przyznał, że trudno jest porównywać warunki gdańskie z niemieckimi. W Monachium prawa do nazwy stadionu Bayernu – Allianz Arena kosztują 6 milionów euro rocznie.
Przygotowania do budowy stadionu w Gdańsku przebiegają zgodnie z przyjętym harmonogramem. Jeszcze w tym tygodniu nastąpi otwarcie kopert z ofertą cenową stadionu i mam nadzieję, że ogłosimy nazwą konsorcjum, które go wybuduje – dodał Paweł Adamowicz.
