Andrzej Walczak, współwłaściciel Grupy Atlas. Zapowiedział, że wizerunek łódzkiej hali będzie umieszczony na 40 milionach opakowań produktów Atlasu, które są sprzedawane na wszystkich kontynentach. Powstanie specjalna strona internetowa Atlas Areny – dodaje Walczak. Nie jest wykluczone, że w hali będą organizowane wystawy i imprezy artystyczne sponsorowane przez łódzką firmę.
Mam nadzieję, że bocian na stałe zagnieździ się w naszej hali – stwierdził Włodzimierz Tomaszewski, wiceprezydent miasta. Bocian, symbol ATLASA, być może stanie się także maskotką łódzkiej hali.
Nowoczesność i innowacja
ATLAS ARENA (poprzednio Arena Łódź) to hala widowiskowo-sportowa, oddana do użytku w czerwcu 2009 roku, a zaprojektowana przez architektów Jacka Kwiecińskiego i Tomasza Kosmę Kwiecińskiego. Trybuny mogą pomieścić ponad 10 tysięcy widzów, a na płycie można ustawić dodatkowo 3 tysiące miejsc. Do dyspozycji gości dostępnych jest 1500 miejsc postojowych, 4 ekrany multimedialne, i 11 loży VIP-owskich (każda z tarasem). Koszt inwestycji wyniósł ok. 280 mln złotych. Wśród planowanych imprez są m.in. mistrzostwa Europy koszykarzy i siatkarek, spotkanie Gołota-Adamek, koncert zespołu Depeche Mode.
